why isn’t cortana in my region or language?

Why isn’t cortana available on my windows 10 pc

Cortana is available in these regions for these languages:
Australia: English
Canada: English
China: Chinese (Simplified)
France: French
Germany: German
India: English
Italy: Italian
Japan: Japanese
Spain: Spanish
United Kingdom: English
United States: English

If you want to activate Cortana, please refer to the below steps and check if it helps:

Cortana is now available in the aforementioned regions. However, users are required to make some changes in the settings to be able to get the voice assistant. Here are the changes you need to make:
1. Change the language settings (Settings > Language) to any of the different English version — English India / Australia / Canada — in accordance with the place you’re based in.


2. You are no longer required to be living at US to have Cortana on your phone. Change the region settings (Settings > Region) to India, Australia, or Canada
3. Similarly, you are required to make some amendments to the Speech settings (Settings > Speech) as well.
4. For Australia: English (United Kingdom); For Canada set it to English (United States); and for India: English (United Kingdom)

Cortana has limited Region and Language support.

Cortana translation setting are based on the Regional and Language settings of your Microsoft Windows 10 installation. At launch, Cortana may not support your selected language and provide insufficient or incorrect translations of non-supported language configurations.

Use supported Region and Language settings.

To use Cortana, all these settings must be set to the same language:
Languages (this is your system/computer/device language)
Speech language (a Windows language pack must be installed for your language)
Country or region

Language packs

Not all options are available for all regions and languages. Some languages might require you to manually download a speech language pack.
Select the Start button, then select Settings > Time & language > Region & language.
Select the language, then Options.
Under Speech, select Download. It may take a minute or two for the speech pack to load.
Sign out and then sign back in for the new speech pack to be added to speech options.
Go back to Time & language, select your new language, then Set as Default.
On Settings > Time & language > Speech, make sure that the Speech language setting is aligned with the previous settings.
Sign out and then sign back in for the new settings to take effect.

Setup

To use Cortana, all these settings have to be set to the same language:
Languages (this is your device language)
Speech language
Country or region
To confirm that your settings are correct or to make a change:
Open Settings. Select Time & language, then Region & language.
Check the Language (set as default) setting for your Windows display language. To get a new language, select Add a Language, then choose one from the list. It may take a few minutes for the language pack to load. If you remove a language, you can always add it back later.
Check the Country or region setting. Make sure that the country selected corresponds with the Windows Display language set in the Language setting.
Go back to Settings > Time & language > Speech and make sure that the Speech language setting is aligned with the previous settings. If the language you want isn’t available, follow the steps on the next tab to add it.
Sign out and then sign back in for the new settings to take effect.
Note: For mobile devices, make sure that you have the correct settings for Language, Region and Speech under Settings > Time & language.
Go to Language > Add language to add a new language.
Go to Speech > Add a language to add a new speech language.
